2009 Portrait Pricing - Utah Newborn, Child and Family Photographer

Newborn Session $300

Session includes a 1-2 hour session at your home or mine. This will allow time for feedings and diaper changes. During good weather it is fun to take some pictures outside for those brave mommas. Pictures with parents included in session price. Parents should wear black long sleeved shirts for traditional BW portraits. The ideal time for "newborn" photos is in the first 10 days of life. Includes a High Res CD with 10-15 edited images chosen by me. You may purchase additional negatives for your CD. You will receive an additional 10-15 pictures for sibling and newborn pictures.

Child Session $150
Session is for one child. For each additional child or parent in the SAME family add $25. Sessions will usually lasts about 1 hour at a location of your choice. Includes a High Res CD with 10-15 edited images chosen by me. For additional children you will receive 10-15 pictures. You may purchase additional negatives to be added to your CD.

Family Session $150

This session is for a family of up to 6 people. Add $15 for each additional family member. Session will include several combinations within family. Session is about an hour at a location of your choice. Includes a High Res CD with 10-15 edited images chosen by me. You may purchase additional negatives to be added to your CD.

Details:

I am an on location natural light photographer. No studio shots.

Please make sure my non-traditional style is the type of photography you are looking for. I try to capture more of your child's personality and it's easier when they are not posed and asked to say cheese.

Keep in mind that early morning and late afternoon to evening are the best times for outdoor shoots. If you are unable to coordinate your schedule with those times we will have to shoot in a place with lots of shade.


Clothing Suggestions:


Newborns- Brand new babies look most adorable and comfortable when little or no clothing is used. It distracts from your newborn when bulky or busy patterned clothing is used. However, if you have an outfit that you are dying to use and that fits well, feel free to bring it. Beanies, headbands and bracelets add a whimsical and modern touch to naked newborns. Parents please wear black long sleeved tops if you desire the traditional BW pictures. Bring an extra shirt as you will probably get tinkled on. Bring lots of diapers, wipes, binkies, formula, extra outfits & blankets etc. It's not fun to have to make a run for formula in the middle of a session.

Sitting age babies- The BEST and most successful time to photograph a baby is when they have just learned to sit up but cannot yet crawl. There is no limit on outfit changes, but be aware that with each change your baby will just get more grumpy. Hats and beanies are adorable for this age as well.


Children-It looks very good to layer simple clothes. Hats work great for this age too. Have your child wear clothes that express their styles and personalities. Above all, just stay away from busy patterns, logos and bulky clothing. Bare feet and jeans look so cute for boys and girls. Also try to stay away from bright white or black shirts, as they tend to be washed out in the photo or wash out the child.


Families- You may coordinate your clothing for a more traditional style or wear whatever is most comfortable. Avoid heavy patterns and logos as they distract from your beautiful faces. .
